For years, I’ve been using the same exact no-makeup makeup routine every single day. I’m not the kind of person to pile on pounds of makeup, and if I’m being honest, I just don’t feel like myself when I have a full-face, glam look going on.
Don’t get me wrong, if that’s what you’re into, then continue doing you. I think people look so beautiful and confident when they do a full face of makeup. But it’s just not for me.
I love a natural face with no concealer or foundation. If I can see some imperfections, that is perfect to me. Your imperfections make you unique and real. So to keep my face looking as natural as possible, I have consolidated my makeup routine into three steps with only two products. I’ve become a pro at finishing my no-makeup makeup routine in less than five minutes, so keep reading to find out how to do it yourself!
Step One: Curl Your Eyelashes
I can’t even imagine not curling my lashes. I feel like it really makes them pop and look so much longer. I use an eyelash curler that I found at the drugstore, you really don’t need anything fancy for this.
Step Two: Apply Mascara
I apply one coat of mascara, and then once it dries, I apply another coat. I think that adding two coats makes them look longer, darker, and more noticeable.
I don’t have one mascara that I use all the time because personally, I feel like when I first start using a product, I see a big difference in how it makes my lashes look. But after a while, my lashes don’t look as big as they did at first. So I like to switch my mascaras up from time to time.
Currently I’ve been loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag mascara. I’ve also been using the Maybelline Colossal mascara for a while.
I always opt for a mascara that has a fiber wand as compared to a plastic wand. I tried one with a plastic wand and ended up scratching my eyelids, which made it so uncomfortable to blink or do anything. The fiber wands are much softer and I’ve never had any issues with them.
Step Three: Apply Bronzer
When doing my makeup, I want my skin to still look like my skin. So, I don’t use any concealer or foundation. I solely use bronzer on top of my normal skin.
I am a VERY pale person, so I apply the bronzer with a makeup brush onto the high points of my face. This way, I get a sun-kissed glow, which makes me look somewhat tan. If I am actually tan, I’ll skip this step and just put mascara on because there is no need to make myself look tan if I already am. But most of the time, I’m white as a ghost, so I go through a lot of this product!
I apply it over my nose, on top of my cheekbones, and from the top of one ear, along my hairline, across my forehead to the top of the other ear. From there, I blend it in all over my face, so there are no harsh lines.
I use the Balm Cosmetics Balm Desert bronzer/blush. This is my holy grail product that I’ve been using since 2017. It is the perfect shade for me and is kinda red toned, which gives more of a sun-kissed look.
This routine is the perfect way to enhance your natural beauty. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this look with people loving how natural and real it is.
